The 2021 Washington Security and Defense Seminar Comes to a Close

November 22, 2021

On Friday, November 19, we concluded our 2021 Washington Security and Defense Seminar (WSDS), in which 60 diplomats representing 19 countries from the Western Hemisphere had the opportunity to interact with more than 20 high-level policy experts from the US government, academic community, and private sector. We thank all our presenters (pictured) and participants for their contributions to discussions on a broad range of topics, including US foreign and regional policy, US military strategy and security/defense perspectives, foreign aid and security assistance, the US budget process, climate change, corruption, and cyber security. A link to the coursebook (which includes speaker biographies, suggested readings, and more) can be found below.

It was an honor to host such noteworthy presenters and distinguished participants for the week-long forum. We look forward to continuing the dialogue.
