2019 William J. Perry Award for Excellence in Security and Defense Education

On September 25, 2019, the Perry Center will hold an award ceremony to recognize Dr. Linda Castro Gainza, Undersecretary of Logistics for the Secretariat of Public Security of the State of Veracruz (Mexico), and the Post-Graduate School of Peru's Center for Higher National Studies (CAEN-EPG) as the individual and institutional winners of the 2019 William J. Perry Award for Excellence in Security and Defense Education. This award recognizes individuals and institutions that, through education, research, outreach, and/or scholastic leadership, have contributed to the knowledge base of defense and security practitioners, advanced a cooperative international security environment, and/or promoted sustainable institutional capacity in the Americas. Awardees have made sustained contributions in their fields in a manner consistent with the Perry Center’s mission.

No simultaneous interpretation will be provided for this event.  The award recipents are scheduled to speak in Spanish, while the rest of the speakers will be speaking in a combination of English and Spanish.
