WJPC Director Participates in Closing Ceremonies at the Nueva Granada Military University

On December 1, 2020, Perry Center Director LTG (ret.) Frederick Rudesheim spoke at the graduation and closing ceremony of the Strategic Governance and Prospectives Course at the Nueva Granada Military University in Bogotá, Colombia. During the five-week course, Perry Center professors Luis Bitencourt, Bill Godnick, Celina Realuyo, and Boris Saavedra gave 10 guest lectures on various defense and security topics. The UMNG, in order to strengthen its relationships with institutions of recognized quality in the national and foreign environment, address common needs in the local, regional, national and international context. They convene academic events that impact development, education, social, economic, environmental and cultural areas, and developed the course "Strategic and Prospective Governance" (GEP-2020) with the cooperation of the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies. 43 Colombian students from 25 state institutions, the Public Force, international companies, private entities, academic institutions and society in general participated.
